Welcome

People get so many different rewards as members of a club, and a dive club is no different. We’re all joined by a love of our sport and a wish to enjoy the underwater world, but that’s not all a dive club is there for.

A typical diving day includes a drive to the coast, time to get changed, maybe transport to the dive site on a boat. You then spend some time in the water, taking part in the activity itself, before a surface interval and your second dive. When that’s all done we turn around and head back home. You can have been out all day, and that’s before you consider washing the salt from the kit! So, the social side of diving becomes really important, and that’s where our dive club comes in.

In the past, we’ve held events away from the water including bowling, laser quest and cider tasting, as well as countless club get-togethers for meals and drinks. Our club Christmas parties often attract 40 – 50 people and are a great way to catch up with friends and dive buddies to reminisce about past dives and plan future trips.

It’s a time to meet friends you would only otherwise see underwater, discuss your fond memories of this year’s dives and make new plans for the year to come!

TRIPS

As an active dive club, we offer dive trips all across the UK, from the Isles of Scilly in the South, Scapa Flow in the North and plenty of coastline in between. We also arrange club holidays, and have visited Egypt, Mexico and Malta recently and are looking forward to setting off to Madagascar in September for our next club holiday.

Specialities

Members also get access to our Speciality of the Month training programme, with a diverse selection of speciality training courses for those divers looking to learn new skills. These courses are run for members only, and not only offer a discounted price for selected dates, they also offer the chance to learn alongside other club members.

Kit Hire

We have a large stock of modern, reliable dive kit which is available for trainees and club members to hire, both for organised club events and other dives.

Club members can book kit hire, and receive a 50% discount off the advertised rental prices.

We also provide free cylinder rental for all club members.

Marine Conservation Society Beach Clean

During the survey the team of volunteers collected 7,134 items of debris, ranging from big items like a broken plastic bat, to smaller items like plastic sticks from discarded cotton buds. The vast majority of rubbish collected was plastic, and so much of it could easily be stopped before it arrives on the beach. We found many plastic bottles, bottle lids, straws and other single use plastic that had found it’s way into the ocean and washed up on our beach.
