A new destintion for the dive club in 2024 is our West Bay trip. West Bay is a great location for diving, and we've got an excellent boat fully equipped with diver lift, ready to take us out and explore some new dive sites.
Top of the list for this trip will be the wreck of the Baygitano, a wreck famous for it's spectacular amount of fish life that almost covers the wreck itself! This 3000+ ton steamer is now mostly flat on the seabed, although the boilers and a few other parts of the wreck do sit above the seabed, which is around 20m. An ideal early season wreck dive, and with plenty of other excellent drift and wreck dives nearby, this is set to be a lovely trip.
Want to get the diving started early? Waverider have offered us the chance to add a Friday evening dive to our trip, departing West Bay at 6pm on Friday 3rd May (£40pp). I'll be very keen on this, so please let me know when booking if you're interested in adding the Friday evening dive too, and provided we have at least 6 divers then the boat will take us out!
