ReActivate
Haven’t been diving lately and want a scuba refresher? Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, ReActivate is personalised to your experience and needs.
Availability: In Stock
First, conveniently review scuba concepts on your tablet, mobile device or computer. Then go diving with one of our PADI professionals in the pool, and you can even add an open water dive too. It’s quick and easy, and a good way to prepare for your next course or get ready for a diving trip. As an extra bonus, divers who complete both the knowledge and in-water skill refresher receive a digital certification card with a ‘ReActivated’ date on it. Perfect if you can’t remember where your certification card has gone!
Your PADI certification does not expire, but your skills do deteriorate without use, just like any other skill. Participation in PADI ReActivate is not mandatory, but recommended as an easy way to refresh your foundational scuba safety knowledge and skills if you haven’t been diving in a while.
You don’t need to be a PADI qualified diver to participate in the PADI ReActivate programme. ReActivate is open to anyone with an entry-level scuba certification with a minimum of four open water training dives.
The Learning Materials You Need
Using the digital ReActivate eLearning programme you’ll immerse yourself in dive scenarios and make decisions that test your understanding of important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials and problem management. You can move through ReActivate at your own pace and delve deeper into topics when you need or want to. For example:
- What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?
- What is the maximum depth limit for all recreational diving?
- What are the signs and symptoms of decompression sickness?
What You Learn
In the water, we will help you regain comfort and confidence in scuba diving. You’ll practice a few safety-related skills and then go over anything you specifically want to review. Our pre-dive briefing will give you a chance to discuss to the skills you want to practice or any skills you were never really comfortable with, and your instructor for the dive will help you overcome these challenges. The ReActivate course is particularly beneficial if you:
- Are a PADI Open Water Diver course referral student who wants a refresher prior to making your open water training dives
- Are a PADI Scuba Diver who wants to upgrade to Open Water Diver
- Simply haven’t scuba dived in a while and want to boost your skills and confidence before a trip
The Scuba Gear You Use
You need nothing more than your standard scuba kit to ReActivate. All kit hire is available if you haven’t got your own, just let us know when booking and this will be prepared and ready for you to use.
