So much more than the diving . . .
People get so many different rewards as members of a club, and a dive club is no different. We’re all joined by a love of our sport and a wish to enjoy the underwater world, but that’s not all a dive club is there for.
A typical diving day includes a drive to the coast, time to get changed, maybe transport to the dive site on a boat. You then spend some time in the water, taking part in the activity itself, before a surface interval and your second dive. When that’s all done we turn around and head back home. You can have been out all day, and that’s before you consider washing the salt from the kit! So, the social side of diving becomes really important, and that’s where our dive club comes in.
In the past, we’ve held events away from the water including bowling, laser quest and cider tasting, as well as countless club get-togethers for meals and drinks. Our latest club event brought together over 40 divers for a club Christmas meal at The Stable, a pizza and cider speciality restaurant in Bristol.
It’s a time to meet friends you would only otherwise see underwater, discuss your fond memories of this year’s dives and make new plans for the year to come!
If you’re looking for the perfect club to share your love of diving with a friendly group of like-minded people then look no further. With lots of events already planned for 2018 and plenty more to come through the year, come and join us!
Join up to the Hidden Depths Dive Club to access our extensive range of dive trips, social events and special training opportunities.
As an active dive club, we offer dive trips all across the UK, from the Isles of Scilly in the South, Scapa Flow in the North and plenty of coastline in between. We also arrange club holidays, and have visited Egypt, Mexico and Malta recently and are looking forward to setting off to the Maldives in 2019!
As a member of the Hidden Depths Dive Club, you can expect us to provide a variety of trips catering to all certification levels, from Junior Open Water Divers through to seasoned technical divers. For members without their own dive kit, membership also provides free kit hire on all our organised club sea trips, as well as discounted hire if you need kit for other planned diving.
Members also get access to our Speciality of the Month training programme, with a diverse selection of PADI speciality training courses for those divers looking to learn new skills. These courses are run for members only, and not only offer a discounted price for selected dates, they also offer the chance to learn alongside other club members.
The club is a means of socialising, learning and teaching. With the vast array of qualified personnel I have learned so much and overcome a lot of obstacles that without the help and backing of the club, I would have just given up. The club has given me the confidence and ability to pursue a whole world of what dreams are made of.
How to join
