IN DEEP TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR BLUE SHARK TRIPS 2023
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY ABOUT WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU BEFORE BOOKING!
General
In Deep’s role is to transport passengers to and from the site, to deploy and recover passengers safely from the water and provide the required safety facilities. It is the individual responsibility of each passenger to ensure they act responsibly on board and do not exceed their personal limitations or experience.
In order to attract the sharks to the vicinity of the boat, different baiting methods must be used. This also involves catching fresh bait en-route to site. All members of your party must be aware that this occurs. It can sometimes take a few hours to draw in the sharks and, as with all marine life, a sighting can’t be guaranteed.
Weather
Our staff members and skippers are very familiar with local conditions. In Deep will always aim to fulfil the charter where appropriate and reasonable. Occasionally, it may be the case that weather dictates that we are unable to fulfil the charter, ultimately this is the decision of In Deep and not the group organiser. The decision to cancel the trip on grounds of weather will be made during the week before the booking to allow us to access the most up-to-date information and make the correct decision. If cancellation is appropriate under the grounds of weather or conditions, alternative dates will be offered subject to availability during 2023 and subsequent years.
Dive Vessels
All dive vessels have a strict No Smoking policy. On-board our vessels you must always have dry suits fully donned and zipped in case of an overboard emergency as dry suits and wet suits are considered a personal floatation device while at sea.
You will always be provided with a full and concise boat safety brief on the dive vessel you are chartering on the first day of your charter, please make sure you have understood and are familiar with the following. Location and use of life saving equipment with particular reference to the life raft, safety procedures, equipment stowage, where to sit during transit, along with entry and exit techniques from the vessel. If unsure you must ask the skipper prior to departure.
In Water Activity
Prior to departing on the morning of your charter, we will require a signed statement of liability and release from any persons wishing to enter the water during the course of the charter. Should you or any member of your party choose to enter the water, you will be doing so entirely at your own risk.
All equipment used must be dark in colour with no bright or shiny materials / objects on display.
Underwater cameras are permitted, but any in Perspex style housings must be on poles / sticks to keep them away from the individual when in use.
In Deep staff will advise on the amount of people that can enter the water at any one time and should they require you to exit the water for any reason you shall do so immediately.
